Platters

For the last few years Jim has been working with clear epoxy.  Initially, he used it thinned as a stabilizer for spalted and slightly rotten wood.  Using it at full strength has allowed him to use and explore woods that are all but useless without the integrity that the epoxy brings to the turning.

Jim only makes a few of these pieces each year.  While he does some on spec (check the Studio Retail Gallery for currently available pieces), many are commissioned.  Here are some of the possibilities from wood that Jim has on hand.  Please contact Jim or Hopson Grace for more information or availability.
